On the Last day of spring at the dawn of summer,
A prince fell in love with a woman he saw in a dream,
but before he could tell her she disappeared and he awoke.
Anguished He Beckoned for his artisan so that he would not forget her image,
He showed every noble and every peasant the picture but none knew her face.
With the last hope of a life with the woman of his dreams resting on the shoulders
of the sun god he prayed, “ Sun god, offer me prosperity, Help me survive this life
and find my future wife, for though I own fortunes that men could only dream of,
my only dream is to be with my fair maiden.”
And so he waited and waited for months, But no signal came.
And so grief took hold of him and he went to a cliff to end his life, And when he
hit the bottom a pain so thorough went through his whole body and he saw
with clarity a bird with a body of fire, a symbol of eternity and waiting
and in that second he saw the life of a bird's who had flown over lands long gone,
once the bird knew that his life was nearly over, he gave it over so that it may be
reborn anew, and so the bird offered his life to the person who lived within him,
And so it turned that eternity was seconds and seconds were years and the
prince was to be born to a fair maiden, who would love him forever.

Nice use of the fairy tale style, Thorsten. You have some sophisticated vocabulary choices and a well-structured story.
